Things Pile Up
1 Thessalonians 5:18

What Can I Do?
Have you ever felt completely overwhelmed by your life? Did the bills pile up all of a sudden out of nowhere? Does it feel like your house and your car are falling apart at the same time?
Are there so many different things that seem to be going wrong that you don’t know what to do or where to start first? Even if you did know where to start you don’t think there is anything you can do about any of it.
Are You Aware?
Seems like you’re in a pretty good place for God to show you what He can really do doesn’t it? I would think so. The tricky part is learning to see the things He does for us in the midst of these circumstances when they aren’t big in your face type things. When it’s just a little bit here and there can we still be aware enough to be thankful?
Life Is Hard!
Life is hard and sometimes when we have a mountain of things pile up on us all at the same time, we don’t consciously notice what God does for us every single day that gets us through. Maybe just enough money came in at the right time for one thing. You might be having other troubles, but God sends people who can help here and there until you can take care of it yourself. Maybe He gives you a day of rest but it’s up to you to take it.
He does so much for us every day that I think we don’t even recognize it anymore. If you are overwhelmed by your mountain of life’s things, be thankful on purpose today. Ask God to help you see more of what He does so you can thank Him the moment He does it.

**Lord thank You for always taking care of me even when I don’t realize it. Please forgive me for focusing more on my problems than on thanking You for all You do for me. Help me to see more quickly when You move in my life so my thanksgiving to You can be immediate. I love You Lord, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. **
