What Is Love?
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 New King James Version
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Do You Know?
Do you know what love is? What about what love is not? I think these are both important questions we should ask ourselves.
The world around us can and will give many definitions as to what they believe love is or what it means to love someone, but the truth is the world does not see things as they are in God’s word.
True Meaning
The only real true meaning of love is found in God’s word. Love does not envy; it is not puffed up. It is not rude or selfish. These are very important things we must think on when thinking about love. Are we loving others according to God’s word? Are we being loved according to God’s word?
Take a few moments today and allow this scripture to settle into your heart, mind and spirit.
**Lord, thank You for the truth of Your word that puts everything into its proper prospective. If I am not loving others in a way pleasing to You, I ask that You show me so I can repent and do things right. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
