What Are You Wearing?

12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;

As a Christian what are you wearing? I’m not talking about how you dress your body each day. How do you dress your thoughts, attitudes, words and actions?

If we are not shy about loving the Lord and living for Him then it will make people take notice. Regardless of what their intentions for watching might be, they are still watching. What are they seeing and hearing when they look at us?

What Do Others See?

Do they see someone who is angry and annoyed all the time or do they see someone showing tender mercies and long suffering? Or do they see someone who spews scripture, “wisdom”, and facts with a haughty heart and a puffed-out chest or someone who’s words drip with kindness and humility?

No Outs or Excuses

Life is hard and some people are even harder to deal with, but the Bible never gave us and out or an excuse to use when dealing with situations like that. He said if we were going to be out here ministering to others we need to “put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;”.

What are you wearing today?

**Lord thank You for always reminding me that more than anything else I am called to love others and treat each person with kindness, love and respect and to show them the same truly humble grace you have shown me. Help me to remember that every moment of the day Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
