You Are What You Speak
Psalm 21:6-7
6 For You have made him most blessed forever;
You have made him exceedingly glad with Your presence.
7 For the king trusts in the Lord,
And through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be moved.
Make It Personal
I recall a few years back our pastor went over this scripture in his sermon. I’m not really sure what it was about, but I do remember what he told us to do. He said to take this scripture and make it personal. The directions he gave were to do this;
6 For You have made ME most blessed forever;
You have made ME exceedingly glad with Your presence.
7 For I trust in the Lord,
And through the mercy of the Most High I shall not be moved.
In my Bible I have marked and written in those words to make it personal for me. Proverbs tells us that there is life and death in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat it’s fruit. Meaning what you speak about yourself is what will come. Why? Because you believe the things you say about yourself!
You Are What You Speak
If you speak of how He has blessed you and that you are most blessed forever, and glad in His presence then you will be! But if you speak of how nothing ever goes your way and how it’s always one thing after another then you will eat that fruit.
Power & Authority
Speaking positively won’t mean that everything will go right all of the time, but it does mean that you can look at every situation positively! You do not have to accept the negative thoughts that come into your mind! God has given you the power and authority to take control of them!
Proverbs 18:21, Psalm 1:3, Romans 12:2, Luke 10:19
***Lord thank You for given me the power and authority to take charge over my thoughts! Thank you for helping me recognize when I am having wrong thinking. Remind me daily Lord that the words I speak have power and let the words of my mouth be sweet, kind and encouraging to myself and others. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!***
