Isaiah 6:8

8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?”

Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

Are You Paying Attention?

This morning while taking my kids to school a fairly new praise and worship song came on. It’s very catchy and I love to sing it. Some of the lyrics really stood out to me, and I began to think about them seriously. One part said, “I want to walk like Moses right through the waves”. I sang it and then stopped abruptly. I felt like the Lord was saying “Do you have any idea what you are saying? “

Are You Ready?

I think so many times we sing these songs because, number one, they are very catchy, but also because they make us feel big. When the Lord made me really take in those words it hit me. Everything the Bible said Moses went through before he got to those waves ran through my mind. I don’t want that. 

Life and Death

Maybe that makes me a “less than” Christian in the eyes of some but listen, if it’s God’s will for me to go through it, then absolutely send me Lord! But I don’t know if I want to bring it on myself with my words. They do have tremendous power. Life and death actually. 

Watch Your Words

We are supposed to make ourselves available and be a servant of the Lord. I am ready and willing. You should be too. I know that if He puts me out there, He will take care of me. I know if He throws me in the fire I won’t be burned. But I’m not going to throw myself in there with the words I speak because I haven’t paid attention. 

Proverbs 18:21, Exodus 14, Daniel 3 

**Lord thank You for making me more aware of the words I speak. Thank You for giving me wisdom. I am ready and willing to do whatever it is You want me to do Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
