Freedom

Freedom

2 Corinthians 3:17

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

We allow our feelings, the opinions of others, and our mistakes, along with many other things, to keep us bound and weighted down. It often feels like we really don’t have a choice. We chalk it up to “a season of life” and say things like “this too shall pass”.

Power & Authority

Can I tell you something? That is not the life Jesus died for you to have! Absolutely not! He died so we could have freedom from all of those things! The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy that liberty we have, but God has given us power and authority over him so we can choose not to stay there.

There’s A Catch

There is a catch. This scripture says “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty”. Which means you have to make an atmosphere for Him to abide in. He will not dwell in an unclean vessel.

Make Yourself Available

That doesn’t mean you have to be perfect for Him to help you, but it does mean that you have to place yourself where He is. Mentally, Physically and spiritually.

All of those things can be done in the right spirit filled church, or even on your own living room couch. You just have to make yourself available to Him and receive what He wants to give you. Freedom!

That freedom may not change your circumstances right then, but it will change the way you view them which in time will eventually change the circumstances themselves where you are concerned.

Luke 10:19, John 10:10, Isaiah 43:19

**God, thank You for freedom! Thank You for giving me a way out of the bondage the enemy tries to keep me tied up in.  I ask that you give me the knowledge and wisdom I need to become free of all these things, Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen**
