Spiritual Battle

Spiritual Battle

Ephesians 6:12

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Wild Weeks

As I was taking my kids to school this morning I began to think about the past couple of weeks. They have flown by and were wild to say the least. My son broke his foot and that killed the rest of his track season. I battled a virus all week just to be slapped with a severe cold, or quite possibly the flu, I’m not really sure which. My husband hurt himself at work and the list goes on and on. I’m not here to complain, only giving you the mental list I was going over in my mind.

It’s Just the Enemy

It was while doing that the Lord popped this scripture in my mind. A flash of pictures began to go through my mind. Little snippets of the things we have done to strengthen our relationship with the Lord and to also tell others about Him. It was like God said “Hey, it’s the devil messing with you because y’all did these particular things.”

Alot of times the aggravating things we face are because the enemy is threatened by what we are doing for God’s Kingdom. The devil doesn’t want us growing in the Lord or telling people that Jesus loves and forgives them no matter what. He (the enemy) wants everyone bound in darkness, chained down and depressed.

Those little aggravating things that happen one after the other are sent by the enemy to wear us out, to exhaust us so we will quit. Don’t you dare give him the satisfaction.

Armor of God

His word tells us to put on the whole armor of God so that we may stand against the enemy! We must use the tools; the weapons the Lord has given us to quench the fiery arrows the devil tries to hit us with so that we can continue on in what He has called us to do.

Study God’s word. Learn what the armor is and how to use it so you can stand firm when the enemy comes at you.

Read and study Ephesians 6:10-18

**Thank You Lord for reminding me that no matter what’s going on I am currently on the right track! I love You Lord and I am thankful for Your goodness and mercy. Help me to recognize the attacks of the enemy for what they are and to stay covered in my spiritual armor so I can continue in the work You have called me to do Lord. In Jesus name I pray Amen. **
