He Gets the Glory

 He Gets The Glory

Philippians 1:12

12 But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel,

Trials

I started reading in Philippians this morning. When I came to this scripture it was like there was a quick flash of various trials I have faced over the years. Quickly following those flashes of memory were encouraging things people had said to me while in those trials.

While going through them it seemed like there was no end to the pain, the anxiety, the heartbrokenness etc., but every time it seemed to be too much God would send someone by to remind me that they were encouraged by what God was doing through that trial.

Others were encouraged by the strength and peace that He gives when it doesn’t seem like we can go on. They were blessed by seeing His power, His Spirit at work during such difficult  times.

He Gets the Glory

That is what this scripture reminded me of today. Our trials, while they seem so deep, so painful and almost never ending, are not just for us. Sure, we are changed for the better during them. We learn who God really is but the most important part of it all, He gets the glory.

People are able to see His power in the midst of our tough circumstances. They watch us and know what He can do! With that His word is spread to others. More people want to know Him and be close to Him.

James 1:2-4, 2 Corinthians 12:9, Philippians 4:13

**Lord thank You for never leaving me, even in my deepest darkest places. Thank You for using my circumstances to minister to others so that they may become closer to you Lord. Help me to remember in each trail, because I know there will be more, that You can be seen and glorified through each one. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
