What’s on your heart?
1 Peter 5:7
7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
What’s on your heart? That’s the question that came to mind as I sat down to write this morning.
I always ask God to lead me to wherever He wants me to talk about each morning and that is what He said today.
Thoughts and Emotions
As I was on my way to work, really this whole morning many different situations were running through my mind. I was worried about a child. I began praying for her, for her future, her emotions and spiritual life. Concerned about other people and the things they were doing I began to pray for them also.
My mind then went back to the hurricane we experienced several months ago. I was describing in detail the things we went through to someone yesterday and it brought it all back. The terror we felt in the middle of the night begging God to hold our home down as we could feel the storm lifting it off the ground.
What’s On My Heart?
What’s on my heart? I don’t guess there is anything today except I am thankful to have a God who listens to me. A God who wants to hear about all the different things I am thinking about and wants me to pray to Him about each one.
What is on your heart today? Is it one specific big thing? Or is it a million little things that quickly flood through your mind? Allow those thoughts to become prayers. Tell God what’s on your heart. Your thoughts, your worries and give Him your thanks.
He is a good, loving God and deserves all the glory.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Isaiah 55:8-9, Jeremiah 33:3
**Lord thank You for always loving me and caring about all the things I do. I ask that you touch each situation weighing heavily on my mind this morning. Do what only You can do Lord. Thank You for your faithfulness and protection. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
