What Are You Afraid Of?

2 Timothy 1:7

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

What are you afraid of? Failure? Are you afraid of not having enough money? Are you afraid your health won’t hold up? Are you afraid for your children?

Every single day we find ourselves drawing in the worry of “what if”. Did you know that the spirit of fear does not come from God but from the enemy? It is something he tries to use to control you. The devil uses fear to keep you bound down so tightly that it’s possible you start to lose your peace and your hope.

Peace

He knows that if he can get you to lose those two things he can begin to take control of your mind. Jesus says that He left His peace with us, and we have no reason to be afraid.

The uncertainty of life has the possibility of leaving us crippled in fear, but we have a choice to make. We do not have to think every thought that comes into our mind. That is something we have control over.

Power & Authority

We have been given power and authority over the enemy in our lives and can choose to be positive and believe God when He says in His word that He will always provide for us and always work things out for our good, or we can choose to be negative and watch our lives become more miserable by the second.

It’s up to you.

**Lord thank You for giving me the power to choose my thoughts. I ask that you give me the discernment to immediately recognize when the enemy is trying to consume my mind and give me the boldness to stop him. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
