Choose

Choose

Joshua 24:15

15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of [a]the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Most Important

The most important choice you will ever make in your life is whether or not you choose to serve God. It is a choice that has to be made every single day and with each action you take. The thing is it’s really all or nothing.

God’s word says that you either need to be hot or cold. Which means you are either all in or all out because if you are “Luke warm” He will spew you out of His mouth. That sounds a bit drastic but to put it a little more plainly God isn’t going to put up with wishy-washy mess.

The Difference

We can’t claim to know and love God and then choose to talk with a filthy mouth. We can’t try to tell people about Him on a Tuesday and show up at bars on Friday. We can’t profess to be a Christian while holding hate and unforgiveness toward people.

No one is perfect and it’s knowing that and surrendering our lives and everything we are to God that makes us all in. We still have to make the best choices we can to turn away from the things the world deems ok when we know God’s word says they aren’t.

What will you choose today?

Revelation 3:16, Deuteronomy 30:19, Matthew 6:24

**Lord thank You for Your Word that helps guide and direct me in my daily life. I ask that you give me a determination to spend more time in prayer with You and more time in Your word so I will know who You are and what You want. I want to please You Lord and I surrender myself to You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
