12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they have become doomed to destruction. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless you destroy the accursed from among you.

He Will Prepare a Table

If you have ever tried to encourage yourself in the Lord you might have said, what we all say, which is something along the lines that the Lord will take care of our enemies for us. He will fight that battle, and He will prepare a table for us before them. 

What we fail to remember however is just like everything else promised to us in the Bible we do have a part, a responsibility to follow God and His word. 

No Victory In Disobedience

While He will surely bless those who follow Him and those who don’t. His word says it rains on the just and the unjust. We cannot ignore His direct instructions and then wonder why we can’t obtain victory in our circumstances. 

Sometimes trials last for a while and we have to deal with difficult people and circumstances even when we are doing the best we can to follow what God and His word says. But, sometimes we have to search within ourselves. We have to seek God and ask Him to reveal if there is any place where maybe we weren’t being obedient to what He said. 

God Can Turn It Around

He is a loving, forgiving and just God. If there is something that needs to be made right between you and Him, He always stands ready and willing if you will just submit. The Lord wants to do more than we could ever dream of in our lives and use us in mighty ways to help others. Those things can’t happen if we are choosing disobedience to God and His word. 

James 1:22-25, Matthew 5:45, Psalm 23:5

**Lord, search my heart. Help me to recognize any area where I am not in full obedience to You and Your word. I ask that You help me to do better and be a better Christian so others can see You through me Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.**
