Be different
Ephesians 2:10
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
It’s Okay
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about what kind of teacher I am. I look around at other Bible teachers. Their styles, the kind of information they choose to elaborate on. It’s been heavy on my mind lately.
The other day someone made a comment that got under my skin a little bit. To be honest I couldn’t tell you their exact words at the moment, but they took something I said and made it seem like it was absolutely not important.
I’ll be honest. I am no different than anyone else, and it really bugged me. However, it didn’t take long for the Lord to speak to me after it happened… seconds really. He said, “you don’t teach the same and that’s ok”.
Be Different
We spend a lot of time watching other people and trying to learn how to do things the way they do. The thing is, God didn’t call you to be like anyone else but who He made you to be.
You might have the same gift whether it be music, teaching, preaching, etc., but everyone is different. We were made to reach different people. The end result however is intended to be the same. Lead people to Jesus! Teach people who He is and what He has done and will do.
As long as what you are doing lines up with God’s word don’t worry about if you are doing it like someone else is. He has created you for such a time as this!! Seek God in how to use the gifts He has placed inside of you. He’s the only one who truly knows anyways!!

**Lord thank You for the gifts You have given me. Please forgive me for looking at the actions of others as a map on how to do what You have called me to do and show me what You would have me do! I want to serve You the way You created me to. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
