Be Real

Proverbs 23:7

7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.

Negative Energy

Has someone ever walked up and started talking to you and it was almost as if you could feel their negativity toward you radiate off of them like a bad smell? It is quite off putting to say the least. 

Now think about how many times you have walked up to talk to someone knowing in your heart that you really don’t even like them. They can feel that too. 

What Do You Do?

So, what do we do when we are the person with all the negative feelings toward someone? It’s hard at times to have kind, positive thoughts about a person, but we are called to be peacemakers. It didn’t say we were called to be fake. Our love and kindness should be sincere towards everyone, especially those we don’t much care for. Again, I ask, what do we do? 

Pray and ask God to help you. Pray for that person. Ask God to reveal to you anything you need to know or anything regarding them you need to pray about. 

There have been times when just the thought of being in the same room as someone made me sick to my stomach. I did not like them and really preferred that I never have to deal with them in any kind of way. 

Was that unforgiveness? It sure sounds like it. I had to repeatedly go to God every time I had a negative thought about them and I literally begged God to help me. 

Seek Peace

You get to a point when you don’t want to feel that way about anyone anymore. The desire for peace needs to outweigh the desire to have things the way you want them.

What are the thoughts of your heart this morning? Are you continuously thinking of how someone wronged you or got on your nerves or maybe even made smart remarks you didn’t like? Submit those thoughts and feelings to God and allow Him to refresh you and cleanse your heart. 

Romans 12:18, Matthew 5:9, Psalm 51:10

**Lord thank You for your loving kindness that never leaves me. Thank You for giving me peace and clarity at just the right times. Please help me to see any areas that I need to work on. Cleanse my heart Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.**
