Being A Woman
2 Corinthians 12:9 New King James Version
9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Tough Times
When we hear this scripture, we automatically think about very trying times. Financial and relational struggles, the loss of a job or loved one. Have you ever thought about the change in your hormones? It would seem like we should.
Hormones
When our hormones change and surge because of whatever reason, whether it be age, time of the month, or even a medical reason, it can seem like our entire life is flipped upside down. Our emotions are all over the place, we can’t eat or eat too much. We can’t sleep or sleep too much. Our energy levels are just as up in the air as everything else.
When they become that way it can be quite frustrating not to mention it can drag you down mentally. So, what can we do? The racing thoughts and roller coaster emotions, how can we get back to normal?
What Do You do?
I know doctors think they have it figured out and may even have some things that work temporarily, but what if those things don’t work? After all God created our bodies and He knows exactly how they work and exactly what they need. Seeking Him for mental and emotional stability during these hard times is crucial.
Help Me Lord!
It may feel like you are losing it and can’t stand one more second. You also may feel like those feelings make you want to cry because this is not who you know you are. It’s ok. Talk to God and tell Him.
He knows exactly what you are going through and He will not leave you alone in this. Your hormones are real, what you are going through is real. During this time of weakness allow Him to be your strength and guide in the right direction of what to do and when to do.
You will get through this. It will be ok.
Psalm 139:13-17 New King James Version
13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
1 Peter 5:7, 1 Corinthians 10:13
**Lord thank You for caring about all of the things that affect me in my daily life. I ask for your help with my hormones. Help me to be who you called me to be even when my mind and my emotions are trying to turn me into someone else. Help me to continue to exemplify the fruit of the Spirit no matter what I am going through. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.**
