2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Want To Start Over?

Have you ever sat back and looked at your life? All the difficulties going on, all the messes you may have made, and thought, “I wish I could just start over?”.  I know I have.  There’ve been times when I felt trapped in all of my mistakes, all of my choices that may not have seemed bad but were definitely not guided by the Lord. To be honest there was a long time in my life where I didn’t consult God on not one single thing I did, and it led me to a giant mess.

Good News!!

There is good news if you have found yourself in a similar position. You can start over!! Today can begin a new way of life for you, if you want it. If you ask God into your heart, ask Him to forgive you and surrender all of yourself to Him, He will make all things new.

Trade Up

I guess you could say there is a “catch” as with anything. We have to give up our old way of life. Let go of the thoughts, habits and anything else that got you in the mess you find yourself in now. When you do that, you are trading it in for a blank canvas of amazing possibilities. Your life won’t automatically turn into a story of sunshine and roses, but you will be able to step into a new life of hope and freedom where anything is possible, and God will work out every single thing for your good.

Second Chances

You might say that you’ve already asked Him into your heart and are trying your best, but things still seem like a mess. Be encouraged today, His word says there will be joy in the morning. Every day is a new day and a chance to start over. Spend time in prayer and ask the Lord to reveal anything that needs changing in your life. Ask Him for guidance in your situation. He will always answer, if we listen.

Romans 10:9, Romans 8:28, Psalm 30:5

**Lord thank you for the chance to start over when I have made a mess of things. I ask that you come into my heart, forgive me and change me into who you want me to be. Help me to see things the way you do so I am not deceived. In Jesus name I pray, amen. **

Great word of encouragement! Thank God our past doesn’t have to define our future. God is a great God full of mercy. Turn to him.
