Choose Joy
Did you know that having joy is a choice? We have the privilege of choosing to be joyful. No matter how we feel when we wake up in the morning, or what our circumstances look like, we have the power to choose how the rest of our day goes.
We go through many different things every single day. Things that make us angry or upset. Things that make us happy. We choose how long to feel a certain way about it all.
There have been days when I woke up and the first thought in my mind was negative. I had a choice to make at that moment: was I going to continue to think thoughts that made me feel negative or was I going to choose to think about good things.
Was I going to choose to keep my joy?
A Gift from God
Your joy is a precious gift from God. If you haven’t realized it by now the devil is out to steal, kill and destroy anything good, anything from God because that is just who he is. But God has given you power and authority over the enemy. Meaning you do not have to allow him to take anything from you.
The fight may be hard at times, but our joy is priceless. Our joy is lifegiving. Our sincere joy spills over onto others and gives them hope and possibilities.
Choose your joy over the heaviness of negativity from the enemy.
John 10:10, Luke 10:19, Psalm 30:5
**Lord, thank You for giving me power and authority over the enemy. Thank You for giving me everything I need to live a joy filled life. I ask that you remind me on the tough days that my joy is a choice, and no one can take it unless I give it to them. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
