Consistent
Galatians 6:9
9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Consistency & stability. Two words I’ve heard repeatedly over the past few days.
You have to be consistent in ministry. No matter how it looks or what you are feeling. You have to be consistent at work and in your relationships.
So why would we think of our relationship with God any differently?
Put God First
If reading His word, prayer and being fed in a church service with a body of believers is how we communicate and spend time with Him why is that the thing in our life that suffers the most? We are to put God first in all we do. Why does He go to the bottom of the list and wind up slipping through the cracks?
Are You Distracted?
Where are you putting all things God in your life right now? Do you start your day with reading and studying His word? Before you get out of bed do you take a few moments to just talk to Him?. Or do those things get pushed farther into the day and before you realize it there’s no more time, or no more you left to give, and He gets put off until the next day?
It’s easy to get distracted. As a matter of fact, the enemy sets out every day to distract you in every way possible. He doesn’t want you to spend time with God and throws a million things your way to keep you from doing so. Put your foot down and don’t allow him the satisfaction of keeping you from the most important thing in your life.
No other area of our lives can be consistent if our relationship with God isn’t.
Make A Routine
It takes time to establish a set routine. You have to force it at first because you probably won’t want to do it. But just like getting up early for work, taking the kids to school or saving money for a bill you know is coming, you do what you have to do.
1 Corinthians 15:58, Matthew 6:33, James 4:7,
**Lord, thank You for Your goodness. For meeting me where I am & helping me get to where I need to be. I ask that you show me the areas I need to re-prioritize and put you first. I want what you want in my life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
