He Found Me

He found me

Matthew 18:12-14

12 “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? 13 And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

Dark Places

Isn’t it amazing the places God will go to find us? The darkest emotional places. The scariest neighborhoods, surrounded by some of the most dangerous people you will ever encounter. He will even go to the darkest corners of your own home.

He Finds Us

He meets us deep in addictions that we knew we would die in. He stands beside us in marriages that we don’t think have a fighting chance. He catches every single tear that falls no matter if it’s out of sorrow or even physical pain.

When we are lost and don’t know where to turn, He reveals Himself to us at just the right time.

He Never Leaves

In every one of those instances, He stands ready and waiting. He wants you to know that not only does He see you, but no matter how far you may have run or veered off His path for you, God has never left you.

No matter where you are now. No matter how deep down in a dark place you may be, no matter what that place may look like for you. God is ready and holding out His hand. He won’t let you stay in that place unless  you make the decision to stay.

There’s Always Hope

There is always hope. There is always a way. It will take work. It will take sacrificing yourself, your pride, but What He gives you is so much better than anything You could ever dream of.

Deuteronomy 31:6, Luke 15:11-32, Romans 10:9

**Lord, Thank You for never leaving me. Even in the darkest of places You are the light. Lord, give me the strength to reach out and grab your hand and the courage to leave behind all the things I’m holding on to so tightly. I know that You won’t work until I let go and stop trying to do things my way. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
