His Time
2 Peter 3:8
8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Impatient
We are pretty impatient for the most part, aren’t we? We want things done quickly. While we might wait a little while, maybe a year or two, but at some point, or another we will get to a place where our minds have decided we are done waiting and whatever is going on, whatever we are waiting for has to happen right now or nothing will be right.
Right Now!
Have you ever been there before? I know I have. Quite a few times actually. It’s kind of funny if you think about it. We get so upset. We fall down at an altar and beg, sometimes even demand to God that if He doesn’t fix it right now, if He doesn’t do what we “know” has to be done right now it will never happen….
He Knows
Seems a bit silly when you read it like that doesn’t it? I know in that moment when we are begging and pleading with God nothing feels more real, but do we really think God doesn’t know how serious our situation is? Do we really believe that He looked away from us and what we have going on and that we have to remind Him how dire it is?
He Doesn’t Leave
His word says that He will never leave us or forsake us. He loves us and cares about every single thing we care about. Not only that but He can see the end from the beginning. He sees every tiny detail of what’s going on. There are little things that need to be perfected, because God does not do anything halfway. When He fixes something it’s a real fix. He doesn’t just slap some duct tape on and call it a day. NO! He makes things that are built to last!
God has not forgotten you. He knows exactly where you are and what is going on. Trust in Him and His timing to not only make all things new but to perfect them.
1 Peter 5:7, Deuteronomy 31:6, Isaiah 55:8
**Lord thank You for always having my best interest in mind. Thank You for paying such attention to detail in every aspect of my life. Lord, I trust in You, Your ways and Your timing. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
