Is church important?
Hebrews 10:25
25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Is Church Important?
When you think about going to church what’s one of the first things that comes to your mind? Do you believe that it’s necessary to go to church if you really love God?
These are some questions that have been on my mind. I know for me the answer is absolutely yes, because I know that it’s important to be surrounded by people who are like-minded.
Do You Have to Go?
I’ve heard a lot of people say well you don’t have to go to church to be a Christian, and I’ll be honest, yes you do you need to be surrounded by people who love God. People who want what He wants, not only in their lives, but in your life as well, and the lives of those in the community around you.
Being in church is a different atmosphere, depending on which church you go to.
Church & Covid
I remember during covid that we were not allowed to go to church. We couldn’t have Sunday school and couldn’t worship together. It puts you in a very weird place.
After a few weeks we had all kind of got fed up with it and decided if we can find a way to go to Walmart and get groceries, if we can find a way to go to work and do that we can find a way to be together and worship God and still go by the guidelines that the government had set for us. We did. We had church outside. Everyone was spaced apart and there were still people that went to a makeshift altar and got on their knees and raised their hands to praise God.
Now could you do that at home? Yeah sure, but everybody ain’t there at home. The Bible says where two or three are gathered in My name there I am with them. That’s what it says!
Do You Love God?
So, do you have to go to church to be a Christian? For me the answer is yes. If you really love God, you will want to. If you really love God, it will be at the top of the list of your things to do. Not the last thing on the list to see where you can fit it in.
After all He’s done for us, the least we could do is show up in his house when it’s meeting time to praise and worship Him.

**Lord, thank You for the privilege of coming into your house to hear Your word and to praise and worship You with other believers. I pray for those who are being killed and persecuted for doing so where they live. Help them, Lord. Make a way of escape. Protect them. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
