It’s Personal
This scripture hits on the thought I have this morning. It’s personal. Our relationship with God is personal.
Oftentimes we can find ourselves asking for advice on things we should do regarding our walk with God. There is nothing wrong with seeking advice from Godly council. However, it is important to realize that this is indeed personal. While God always remains the same we, as people are quite different and how He deals with each of us is also quite different.
God Knows You!
God knows each of us inside and out. He knows our thoughts and the things that we find most difficult. He knows everything about our past so when it comes to a relationship with Him He knows the best place for us to start. That may not be the same place someone else started.
There are many things about our walk with God that are the same as others. We are all drawn by His spirit and what He does for one He will most certainly do for all. But, we can not structure our personal time, our faith or anything else to do with God according to how someone else does it.
Seek God
Seek God. Seek Him on how, when and where to read, study and pray. Seek Him on how to handle things in life. If we fix our eyes on man and how they do things we will be misled and are setting ourselves up for a fall because man will eventually let you down. If we fix our eyes on Jesus, we won’t be blind to the truth, and He will be our guide to what we have to do.
Revelation 3:20, Psalm 63:1, Psalm 18:2
**Lord thank You for always showing me the right way. Help me to remember to have realistic expectations when it comes to man and to keep my focus on You and not them. I ask that You guide me in my walk with You Lord so that I am not led astray or holding myself up to expectations that You did not make for me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
