Power & Authority

Luke 10:19

19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

He Has No Power

We have been given authority over the enemy. He has no power over us. 

Do you know what that means? It means he can huff and puff all he wants to but can’t hurt you. There will be things that happen in our lives that we may never understand. Things that make us uncomfortable and things we don’t like at all. We will face hurts and disappointments and even great times of uncertainty, but do you want to know something? 

It Will End

Whatever that circumstance is will not last forever. There is an end in sight. The question is are you determined enough to ride it out with God, or will you allow the lies of the enemy to pull you away from the only hope you have? 

Read The Word

The devil is the father of all lies. If any thought, you have does not line up with what God’s word says then you can automatically know it is a lie. The thing is you will have to read the Bible to know what it says. If you don’t the enemy can tell you anything and you won’t know the difference. 

You are not obligated to think every thought that pops into your head. You have control!

Just because you can’t see a way out doesn’t mean it’s not there. Do not allow yourself to be lied to and manipulated. God has given you power and authority over the enemy. You can stand up and say no to him!

Will you choose to walk in what God has given you today? Will you take time to dig into God’s word so you can recognize the lies from the devil? The choice is yours. 

I refuse to let the devil lie to me about anything! God has given me the authority to stand up against the enemy and that is exactly what I am going to do. 

Corinthians 10:13, 2 Timothy 1:7, John 8:44

**Lord, thank You for giving me power and authority over the enemy! I ask that You give me a deep, burning desire and determination to dig into Your word. Help me as I study to learn the truth so that I can recognize the lies of the enemy. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
