Pray for one another
James 5:16
16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
It’s Hard
Dealing with people is hard. Whether it be at work, at home or even at church, it’s hard. Some people have strong overbearing personalities while others are much more quiet and reserved. I think that is where we find a lot of problems.
Better To Keep Quiet
Most of the time, when we encounter people or situations that are hard to deal with, the first thing we do is run to tell someone we know will feel the same way we do. We want validation to our feelings. Wanting that isn’t wrong. But sometimes it’s better to just keep quiet.
Strength
Are those people wrong? Probably. Will you talking about them, and the situation make it better? Most likely not. It will however make you feel bad. Staying quiet when you feel someone is wrong does not make you weak. It takes more strength to sit down and shut up than it does to stand up and point fingers.
Pray About It
Others may not be doing things right, but it’s our job to pray about it. There will come a time when you are the one needing prayer, and quiet understanding rather than being gossiped about for making stupid decisions. Prayer is more effective than anything else we could think to do so why not start with it. Starting with prayer would make your spirit feel way better than getting riled up while talking to someone else about the situation anyway.
Matthew 26:41, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Colossians 4:2
***Lord ,thank you for your convicting Spirit. God, I ask that you forgive me for the situations I have not handled right, and that you guide me going forward. Help me to see it before I do it Lord. In Jesus name I pray, amen.***
