So much to thank Him for
Psalm 9:1-2
9 I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
Take A Minute
Have you ever taken a few minutes, sat back and just let your mind recall all the things that God has done for you? I found myself in that place this morning and was filled with an overwhelming feeling of joy and thankfulness.
Life’s Worries
I know with children it seems like there is a new need every single day. Shoes for this activity, haircuts, socks… so many socks. The washer is worn out and so is the fridge. The car needs an oil change and new tires. The toilet has started to run all the time. The list goes on and on.
So many times, we get wrapped up in the worries of this life. We keep our mind on the things we need, the places we have to go and the appointments we need to keep there seems little room for much else.
Step Back
But if we take a step back from all the things we have to do or have to have and just thank God it will put things back into proper perspective. Thank Him for where He’s brought your family from. Thank Him for healings and protection. Thank Him for what you already have instead of thinking about what is next on your list of things to get.
Make The Choice
Making the choice to be thankful will keep greed and anxiety at bay. Will you take time to thank Him today? Not just for a quick second but let it be your frame of mind all day. I think you will be surprised at how much things will change.
Psalm 107:1, Psalm 100, Psalm 118:1
**Lord, thank You for everything. Thank you for my home and family. Thank You for your mercy and protection. Thank You for all the things You do that I don’t even realize. You are a good God. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
