Bad Morning?
Have you ever had one of those days where the thoughts in your mind start getting on your nerves the minute you wake up?
You don’t feel like doing your whole morning routine because you’d rather go back to bed and your annoyed that you don’t really have a choice. The thought of going to work puts you in a bad mood because your tired of doing so much for so little only to feel unappreciated.
The devil doesn’t wait for us to get awake good before he starts in with his mess, does he?
Pay Attention
When you are having one of those days it can seem so hard to put your mind on the right track. It’s hard to focus on the good or even think about it. But God’s word tells us to take every thought captive. Which means we have to recognize the thoughts that are making us feel angry or annoyed and then choose to think the opposite.
If we spend our time thinking about what not to think about, we are still focusing on that negative thing, but if we purposely think of something good and choose that thought things will begin to get better.
Any negative thoughts we have are a trap from the enemy. He can put those thoughts in our minds, but he doesn’t know if we choose to keep them because he cannot read our mind. So, the devil watches and studies us. Every facial expression, every tone of voice we use he knows when we are aggravated or annoyed and uses it against us.
You Have Power!
You have the power to choose what you think about and what thoughts to throw out. The enemy might try repeatedly with the same nagging thoughts but if he sees that they don’t work, that they don’t shake you he will move along to something else.
Take power back over your mind today!

**Lord, thank You for giving me the power and authority over the enemy. Thank You that I don’t have to be a victim of his tactics to ruin my day! I pray and ask for the discernment to recognize the enemy the minute he tries to step in and the knowledge and wisdom to know what to do and when to do it in each situation. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
