The Devil Is a Liar

2 Corinthians 10:5

5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

The devil is a liar

Fight Back

Our church recently began revival.  Last night I went up for prayer because the devil has been trying to attack our family. He’s been trying to find a little crack here and there and was really just causing agitation in our home. My husband and I decided we were not having it and were fighting back.

The Devil Is a Liar

No sooner than I got back to my seat, loud overwhelming thoughts began to flood my mind. “You see that? You aren’t as good as them. God hasn’t called you to do anything, it’s all in your head.” and “you don’t belong with anyone, you have no friends, you don’t fit in, and no one actually cares about you or likes you.”

God’s Word Says

Have you ever heard something similar to that before? I hate to say that I held on to those thoughts throughout the evening and up until this morning. All of the sudden it hit me like a ton of bricks. “What does MY Word say?” and “do you think the enemy would have fought so hard and so quickly if what happened hadn’t scared him?”. It was like I instantly snapped out of it!

 Talk Back

I began telling the devil that I wasn’t having what he was trying to oppress me with. Did you know you can talk to the devil and tell him to get  outta here? God has given you power and authority over the enemy. The enemy may have power, but he has absolutely no authority!

Fearfully & Wonderfully Made!

So, if like me, you find yourself flooded with lies from the enemy, remember that in God’s eyes no one is better than someone else. He loves you just as much as He loves the Pastor or the worship leader. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image, and He created you with a purpose, and the devil is the father of all lies and the author of confusion.  Read God’s word, know it for yourself so you can’t be fooled by the enemy!

Luke 10:19, John 8:44, 1 Corinthians 14:33, Psalm 139:14, Romans 2:11

** God thank You for reminding me who I am in You! Help me to take every single thought captive and make sure it lines up with what You have said in Your Word! God, I pray and ask for spiritual discernment and Godly wisdom to recognize the enemy and put him in his place. In Jesus name I pray, Amen! **
