Trust
Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
He Sees It All
God does not see things the same way we do. We look at what we can see, what’s right in front of us. We see our feelings, our schedules, while God on the other hand sees the end from the beginning of everything.
Recently I had to go to two different meetings. Neither of which really had much to do with me. While they were both very interesting, they didn’t apply much to where I am currently at in life as much as where I’ve already been. The Lord strongly urged me to go. It didn’t make sense to me, but if there’s one thing, I’ve learned recently I’d rather just keep my peace and do what the Lord said even if I don’t understand why.
After the first meeting I still didn’t understand, but after the second one I asked God why He had me go. He began to show me that I needed to interact with more people, be more social. This is actually something I struggle with quite a bit with people I don’t really know.
His Ways Are Not Ours
Seems kind of funny that God would call me to do something such as speak to lots of people I don’t know when I have struggled with that my whole life. His ways are definitely not our ways!
Once I realized what He had been doing I couldn’t help but laugh and thank Him. He knew exactly what He was doing, and I was thankful for it, because I absolutely needed help in that area and had been praying for it.
Just Trust Him
We don’t always understand why God wants us to do the things He does. We can ask Him but may not get an answer every time. Trust that God always has your best interest at heart and will work everything for your good and His glory. It’s more peaceful to obey God than try to wrestle with whatever it is He wants you to do.
Romans 8:28, Jeremiah 29:11, 1 Corinthians 1:27
**Lord thank You for always having my best interest at heart. Thank You for knowing exactly what I need and when I need it. Help me to be quick to obey You in everything, even though I may not understand why. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.**
