Turn It into Praise
Psalm 149 New King James Version
149 Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints.
2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
3 Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. 4 For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, 7 To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; 8 To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord!
What’s Going On?
What is going on in your life right now? Is there anything that seems to have total control over your thoughts? So much so that it consumes all of your time? It doesn’t seem like it will ever end and feeling like there is no relief in sight has begun to heavily weigh on you.
It Will End
See, we know that every situation we face will not last forever. Even if we can’t see the end deep down we know there is one. The problem becomes when we allow the enemy to blind us to that fact and all we can see is right in front of us.
This is a dirty trick, but in all honesty what do we expect? We know that the enemy’s whole plot is to steal, kill and destroy and he starts with our peace of mind. Once he has a hold of that everything else is quite easy for him to get to.
What Do We Do?
So what do we do? How do we fight off this seemingly all consuming thing that the enemy has come at us with? Praise! Yes, praise!!
We know God is good. We also know that there is an end to what we are deaing with. So, if we want relief from this current burden. If we want to feel a fresh breath while wading through these circumstances we have to begin to thank God for what He is doing for us that we can’t see. God is always working behind the scenes.
He Is Faithful
His word says that He will never leave nor forsake us. That is a promise! Thank Him for it! Thank Him for the things He has done in the past because those are testimonies to His faithfulness.
Praise Him for His goodness, for who He is. When you choose to praise through your mess you are yelling your battle cry to the enemy and reminding him Who it is you belong to and reminding him that not only will you not go down without a fight , but that you don’t fight alone because God is with you and will work everything out for your good.
He Never Leaves
Sure, you may not know what that good looks like but if you look back on every other time God showed up and showed out for you, for those you love it doesn’t matter if you know or not because you know He’s got you!
Praise your way through today!!!
Joshua 1:9, Deuteronomy 31:6, Romans 8:28
**Lord thank You for giving us the freedom and the gift of praise. God, we praise you for who You are and the things You have already done, and all that You are going to do! Remind us Lord that even when we don’t see it You are always working on our behalf and will bring it all together for our good. You are a good and faithful God! In Jesus name I pray, Amen! **
