What now?
Colossians 2:6-7
6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
Made New!
Once we give our heart to the Lord and ask Him to forgive us of our sins, we have been washed clean, made new. He has forgotten our sins as far as the East is from the West and remembers them no more. We are a new creation!
What Now?
But now what? What do we do next? We cannot go back to our old way of life because we have been made new.
Get in God’s Word. The Bible gives us guidelines for everything we can think of. Our attitudes, the way we talk, how we handle friendships or any other relationship. It shows how to line up our finances and how to handle temptations that are thrown our way.
His Word also reminds us time and time again of who we are in Him and the fruit that has been placed inside of us by Him that has to be tended to so that it may grow.
Live It!
Kneeling down and believing is just the beginning. There must be a life lived after that to match the true character of a Christian. It isn’t always easy, but neither was living a life without God at the wheel.
We may not always get it right, but He will never leave you alone to handle anything. Take the next step.
