When was the last time?
Luke 10:2
2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
People
This morning as I was driving to work, I passed a woman I know. Immediately God reminded me of a time I prayed for her at a car wash. That thought was followed by another time I prayed for a young boy at the same car wash. Obviously, I go to the car wash a lot, but that’s not what this is about.
Prayer
Both thoughts were followed by the Lord saying, “When’s the last time you prayed like that for someone?”. To say I felt ashamed would be an understatement. Sure, I pray for people in person at church. I even do it at work when the Lord leads me to but haven’t lately. My prayer closet? Yea of course, but what about everywhere else?
Will You Labor?
Are we willing to be laborers, servants for God? Can we put aside our schedules and our own personal desires to pray for the lost and hurting? What about using what He has given us to bless others. Whether it be time or money. So often we use the excuses of being tired or busy to keep us from doing work for God.
I ask you today, are you doing all you can for His kingdom? I am asking myself the same question.
Matthew 6:33, Philippians 4:19, Matthew 12:50
**Lord thank You for sending laborers to me and my family every time we were in need. If You will use me God, I am making myself available to You. Help me to see that Your will is more important than my wants. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
