You have it all
Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
You Have It All
Did you know that you have every single one of those things listed above inside of you? You have self-control. You have peace, love and joy. You have goodness and kindness and all those things inside of you from the moment you received Christ as your Lord and Savior.
What Are You Doing?
The question is are you helping them grow? See, a fruit tree was made to bear fruit, but before it can come to the place where we are able to actually see and enjoy peaches or apples, or whatever it will grow it has to be tended to. With most small trees you give them some kind of support like stakes and strings. You make sure it is in the proper atmosphere to encourage growth and once it gets a certain size it’s between God and that tree what happens next.
Get Rooted
We are no different than that tree. If we expect the fruit to grow in our lives, we must make sure to become rooted in an atmosphere that supports our growth. We must tend to our spirit with prayer and God’s word.
The Choice Is Yours
Each situation we face where one of the fruit listed is needed, is an opportunity for it to grow bigger, but that choice is ours.

**Lord thank you for giving me everything I need to be who You made me to be. Please help me to recognize when I am being given an opportunity to grow and to handle it the right way. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
