You mad?

Ephesians 4:26-27

26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil.

Dangerous Emotion

Anger is a dangerous emotion. It can affect every area of your life if it’s not contained and dealt with. Being angry itself is not a sin, it’s what you do when you are angry that can become a sin. 

This scripture is short but powerful. Don’t go to bed angry. No matter who it is. Your kids, your spouse, a friend or coworker, make it right. If you take that anger to bed with you and actually manage to sleep through the night, I guarantee it will be the first thing on your mind the next morning. 

Don’t Give him A Foothold

Allowing anger to take hold inside of you like that is giving the devil a foothold. You have given him access into the next day. If you have experience in anger, like I have, you know that not only is it there when you wake up the next morning, but it will carry on all throughout the day and you had better get rid of it before bed or it will continue all over again. 

I’m Sorry

So many people live bitter, angry lives just because they refuse to forgive or even apologize. I can say that most of the time when I’ve felt the Lord push me to apologize, I wasn’t the one in the wrong, at least I didn’t see it that way. After having to apologize time and time again l realized while whoever did whatever, I was a child of God and needed to make clear that if I did anything to hurt them or offend them, I had to sincerely apologize. 

It’s not easy but in order to keep your peace and keep you from falling into a life of bitterness and hate it is necessary. Who knows that person you are upset with could be someone you are able to lead to the Lord or might lead someone you love into a relationship with God. That might not be able to take place if there is anger and hurt feelings. 

Proverbs 15:1, Ecclesiastes 7:9, Ephesians 4:32

**Lord thank You for opening my eyes. I ask that you forgive me if I have hurt anyone by the things I have said or done. If there is anyone, I need to make things right with I ask that you reveal them to me and open a door to talk to them. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
