John 11:21

I Woke Up Late

Have you ever woken up really late in the morning? You missed your alarm and only have a little while to get ready but still seem to have time to do everything and make it on time. 

I did that this morning, and it has me thinking about God’s timing. We always think we need Him to show up immediately, like right now! If He doesn’t show up when we think He should we get upset, anxious and even try to do it all ourselves even after He’s told us He will handle it. 

Dead!

When Lazarus died, to the human mind it was over. There was no way you could fix someone being dead. He didn’t just die five minutes before Jesus got there either. It was four days before He arrived. Still, even though Lazarus had been dead for four days, wrapped and placed in a tomb, nothing could stop Jesus. 

That is the part we need to remember. Nothing could stop Jesus from doing what He came to do. Do you need Him to show up for you today? Does it feel like you have been praying and begging and the clock is about to run out? 

It Ain’t Over Yet!

I challenge you to get into God’s word and see all the times He showed up when everyone else thought it was too late. Sarah & Abraham thought they were too old to have children, until God showed up. The Israelites thought they were about to be destroyed until God split the sea at the last minute. Mary & Martha were mourning the death of their brother for days when Jesus walked up and fixed it all. 

Don’t ever think it’s too late! God will always show up on time! His word says that His ways are not our ways, they are much greater!!

**Lord thank You for reminding me that You don’t see things or measure time in the same way I do. Forgive me for thinking that You don’t see or care what I am going through. I know that You work all things for my good. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
