Let Them

Let Them

Acts 5:29

29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Why Bother?

What does it mean to obey God rather than men?  I’ll be honest the past few days I have wanted to quit doing these things. The devotions, the videos. It takes prayer, thought and discipline to do one each day. I often wonder why I do them. I want people to be helped, but if no one reads or watches and listens then what is the point exactly? Obedience? Am I doing it for myself?

Let Them

We cannot allow the opinions of others to dictate what we do for God. There will always be whispers, back handed comments, and Facebook posts criticizing everything you do, but if you are continuing out of obedience to what you believe He has spoken to you, He will honor that.

Obey God

So, we obey God rather than the opinions of man. We push forward in doing what we believe He has spoken to us to do. Whether it’s for one or one million, we continue.   God didn’t call you to be popular or liked. He didn’t call us to be the one everybody loves. No, He called us to be holy. To be set apart. Don’t allow yourself to be distracted by who is and isn’t paying attention or who does or doesn’t care.

He Cares

God cares and He loves you. He has created you for such a time as this. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and not what those around you are saying and doing. It will be much easier to obey God if your eyes are fixed on Him.

John 15:18-19, Matthew 5:11-12, Romans 12:2

**Lord thank You for never leaving me even in my times of doubt. I ask that You help me push through in doing what You have told me to do and help me to not focus on what man says or does but focus on You Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
