My Part
James 4:8 New King James Version
8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Do You?
Do you want a move of God in your life? Do you want Him to show up and show out? His spirit will not abide in an unclean vessel. When there is no unity within a home or a church, we cannot experience God’s full power He wants to rest on us. So, I ask again, do you want a move of God in your life? Are you willing to do whatever it takes to see that happen?
Door Dash
We have become so accustomed to getting pretty much anything we want at the drop of a hat, and it brought right to our doorstep. God is not door dash. You can’t pull up the Jesus app and have everything handed to you.
While what God does for us isn’t solely dependent on what we do or who we are, because let’s face it if it was, He wouldn’t do anything for us as we are very much imperfect people, we do have a responsibility to do our part in our relationship with God.
What’s My Part?
What is our part? Doing what His word says. If we don’t know what His word says, spending time reading and studying it should be the first thing we do. With each promise given to us in God’s word we are given simple instructions.
Baking
It’s like a box of cake mix from the grocery store. The instructions are written and we have everything we need but it’s our job to put those things together and get it in the oven. Once we have done our part we wait for the oven to turn everything into what it’s supposed to be.
Do you want a move of God in your life? Are you willing to spend time in His word? Are you willing to fast and pray and seek Him? Those are your ingredients.

**Lord thank You for reminding me that you are not a microwave God and that I have a responsibility to do my part in our relationship if I want things to change. Help me to do better as I put forth more effort. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
