When People Make You Mad
Ephesians 4:1-6 New King James Version
4 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
I’m Struggling Today
I’ll be honest I am struggling with some things this morning. Some people I never expected have treated me not so kindly because of whatever reason. I really don’t know. I have spent this morning praying and allowing the situation to consume my thoughts. As I prayed, I asked God to help me handle this situation the right way.
Everybody Won’t Like You
Because the truth is no matter who you are or what you are doing, if you are doing it for God you can guarantee there will be people who won’t like you or what you are doing. So, the best thing we can learn to do is handle it the right way, God’s way, so we can be better prepared for the next time it happens. There will always be a next time.
Truthfully, I was looking for the scripture “in your anger do not sin” because I’m angry. I’m angry that this person would be so rude and disrespectful so much and in public at that, when I have never been anything but nice to them. As I read that scripture the Lord prompted me to pull up the entire chapter.
Answered Prayers
There it was the answer to my prayer. How can I handle this the right way? Walk worthy of my calling, with all lowliness and gentleness, with long suffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. That’s how.
Your Weapon
God never expects anything out of us that He has not given us the tools, help and opportunity to do it and do it right.
I hope my situation puts this word into perspective for you and will allow you, when the same thing comes to your door, to handle it God’s way.
God’s word is our weapon against the enemy. It is our sword. Knowing what His word says about situations we are facing or will face is imperative to overcoming them.
Ephesians 4:26-27, Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 6:12
**Lord thank You for Your word that always directs me onto the right path during difficult times. I am thankful that You never have and never will leave me alone to figure everything out for myself. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
