Remember

Deuteronomy 8:2-4 New King James Version

2 And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. 3 So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. 4 Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years.

We Forget

We often forget when reading parts of the Bible that the people living in those times did not have His word to refer back to, because they were currently living it out. They have to be verbally reminding and remind themselves of the things God had done for them.

When we are faced with new challenges and trials, we often forget the places the Lord has brought us out of before. The times we were down to nothing and He still provided. All of the times there didn’t seem to be any way, and God still made a way. Let’s not forget the other times that a situation seemed absolutely impossible by man’s standards, but God not only showed up but He showed out!

Remember

Remember today. Remember where He brought you from and what He has done for you and those you love. Do more than remember. Testify to His goodness and faithfulness in your life. The things He has done for us aren’t written in a Bible for all to freely read and be encouraged. If we tell the world about Him and what He has brought us through we can be encouraged as much as them.

I encourage you today, if you are in a season of struggling look back to what He has done for you in the past. Testify to it out loud and thank Him for it. He has not brought you this far to leave you now!

***I encourage you to read through the book of Deuteronomy. Read as that prepare to walk into the promise God gave them, and recall how He took care of them those 40 years in the wilderness. ***

**Lord thank You for the reminder of Your goodness and faithfulness all over my life! I ask for boldness and confidence through You Lord. To stand up and tell everyone of all You have done for me. So You will be glorified and others may be encouraged. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
