Think About It

Think About It

James 1:26

26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

Do They See Jesus?

What do people see when they look at me? That is a question we should all take the time to ask ourselves.

The scripture this morning caused me to stop and pray. I know there are still things the Lord is working on me about, as I’m sure He is you as well, but should I be farther along than I am now in my walk with the Lord? Should you be?

Are we allowing our own flesh to control our words and actions more than we allow His Holy Spirit to work in our lives?

**Flesh– Our sinful, self-centered nature.**

Let His Light Shine

We cannot try to show the world Jesus from a platform, when we walk in the church or only when certain people are around, if we can’t put our flesh aside and show Jesus in all we say and do no matter who it is and where we are.

There are many people in this world who will never step foot in a church or even open the Bible. If we proclaim to be a Christian, they will watch everything we say and do just to see if God is real. We are representatives of Jesus, and people’s lives are hanging in the balance. Be the reason they choose life, the reason they know He is real.

Reflect

Let this scripture take you to a few moments of self-reflection and prayer. Do you want others to see Jesus in you even when you don’t know they are watching?

Matthew 22:37-39, James 2:4-6, Proverbs 29:11

**Lord thank You for Your word that brings me to a place of self-reflection. Please forgive me for my selfishness. God, I ask that You help and show me what to do and when to do it. I want others to see You through me in all I do. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
