Stand on The Rock
Matthew 7:24-25
24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
We All Have Problems!
No matter who you are or how you choose to live your life you will have problems. That is just a fact. Choosing to follow God does not exempt us from problems.
The difference comes when you are under the heavy weight of a situation that just won’t let up. It seems like one hit after another, and you don’t know how much more you can take.
Have you ever been there? Have you ever been so weighted down by life’s problems that you didn’t see a way out and have figured you will just have to accept this as your life because nothing will ever change.
God’s Promises
When you choose to live your life God’s way you are given access to all the promises in His word. He promises peace. He promises to handle things for you and to never leave you. God’s will for your life is just what He says in His word!
Life is hard. Problems will come and go and sometimes those problems will be overwhelming. If you have built your house on the rock, which is to say built your life around Jesus, then you can receive peace in the midst of trying circumstances.
Make A Choice
But, you are the one who has to make that choice. We can whine and cry about all of the things going on in our lives or we can submit to the only one who can really do anything about them. He can give you peace, purpose and direction in the midst of your circumstances.
What do you want? Do you want to continue in the chaos? The sleepless nights, the constant weight and worry of whatever you’re going through. Or do you want to change?
Philippians 4:6-7, Exodus 14:13-14, 1 Peter 5:7
**Lord, help me to see, deep down, that You are the only help I truly have. I pray and ask that You give me peace during these hard times and let them draw me closer to You and not further away Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen**
