Are You Ready?
Matthew 25:13
13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
The End Is Near?
Now more than ever it seems we hear that Jesus will return soon. I’ve heard it my whole life as I’m sure you have but lately with the state of things it seems it will happen sooner than later.
I think that we have heard it so much without seeing His return that we just kind of ignore it. That sounds really harsh, and sad, to say but if we truly believed “the end” was coming, or Jesus was coming back we would live much differently than we actually do.
God’s word is the whole truth. There is nothing in there that is even close to a lie, so Jesus’ return is a fact. But we can watch all the news we want. We can speculate on when it will happen but just as this scripture says we will never know exactly when He will come.
When?
What if His return was at 8 or 9 pm on a Saturday night? Would you be ready? Or would you need a few minutes to make things right? Jesus gives the parable of the wise and foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).The foolish were not prepared and missed their chance. Don’t let that be you.
I do believe more importantly than focusing on His return is remembering the fact that we are not even promised to live the next few minutes. We get so caught up in the things, the ways of this world and we don’t even realize that if we had a heart attack and died right now there’s a chance we might not go to Heaven.
Are You Ready?
Are you ready? If you were to have some random accident that took your life right now would you go to Heaven? What about your friends and family? While you can’t live right for them to be saved you can pray for them and live a Godly lifestyle in front of them that could bring them to where they needed to be.
Jesus’ return does seem much sooner than it used to be but I wouldn’t put all of my focus on that. I would focus more on my relationship with Him and making sure I was spiritually prepared for anything.

**Lord thank You for the reminder to always be spiritually ready to meet you. Give me the determination to live a godly life so that I won’t miss Heaven for things that don’t matter and so I can be a good example to those around me, in hopes they will choose You too. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
