Under Construction

Under Construction

Proverbs 26:12

12 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes?

There is more hope for a fool than for him.

No matter how long we have been following the Lord and living for Him there will always be things we need to learn, things we need to work on. You can read the Bible front to back but just knowing the words does not give you understanding or real-life experience.

We should be seeking God daily asking Him to show us areas we need to work on, things we could do differently.

What Is A Fool?

I googled the biblical definition of a fool, and this was the answer I got.

“In the Bible, a “fool” is not merely someone with low intelligence but a deeply immoral and ungodly person who rejects God’s wisdom and refuses to learn from discipline or correction. Biblical fools act arrogantly, express their own opinions rashly, show no self-control, and live in rebellion against God, ultimately leading to their own destruction. The most profound biblical definition of a fool is someone who denies God’s existence in their heart and life.”

How To Be Wise

Proverbs 9:10 says “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

If we want to be wise, truly wise and not just wise in our own eyes we must have a reverent fear of God. We must honor and respect Him by following His word and His ways otherwise we are no different than a fool.

We will never have it all figured out and that is ok. God is not asking that of us. What He is asking is that we regularly seek Him and strive to do better. We have to make the choice to do everything we can to live by His word and be pleasing to Him.

Where Are You?

What are you working on today? Are there areas you could do a little better in? Are you praying and asking God to help you and show you how to do better? If He has shown you what to do, are you doing it? A Godly lifestyle has constant construction going on. It’s hard but it’s worth it to know that you will hear well done and not depart from me.

Proverbs 2:6, James 1:5, Proverbs 9:9

**Lord, thank You for never giving up on me, even on my worst days. I ask that you never let me think I am wise in my own eyes but to always keep me humble before You Lord. Reveal to me the areas I need to work on and show me what I need to do Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
