Are You in Egypt?

Are You in Egypt?

Deuteronomy 20:1 New King James Version

20 “When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.

What’s Your Egypt?

When I hear the word Egypt in scripture I think of the difficult places and circumstances I’ve been in throughout my life. Each time we see the phrase “brought you from the land of Egypt” we can look back and compare it to our lives.

This particular scripture is a reminder when we are faced with the next thing, or having to deal with difficult people. It’s a reminder that throughout our lives we will face difficult spiritual battles. Physical, mental, emotional & relational.

Maybe you or a loved one is sick, or someone close to you has passed away. It could be your finances have taken a turn, your family is acting crazy or maybe you are just being attacked mentally or verbally by others because of who lives inside of you. The list of battles we face could go on and on.

What Happened Last Time?

Remember Who brought you out of your Egypt. The God Who never left you then and won’t leave you now! The God Who always made a way even when you couldn’t see one! The God Who showed up right on time, everytime!

He did it once and He will do it again! It doesn’t matter if it seems bigger and worse this time. It also doesn’t matter if it seems so small compared to other’s problems. God cares about everything you care about !

Look back, not to wish for a different time, but to remember God’s faithfulness.

Deuteronomy 31:6, 1 Peter 5:7, Proverbs 3:5-6

**Lord, thank You for never leaving me! For always showing up right on time and guiding me through and holding me up during difficult times. I trust You Lord and I know if you did it then You will do it now! In Jesus name I pray, Amen!! **
