I Don’t Understand

I Don’t Understand

Exodus 7:5 New King James Version

5 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the children of Israel from among them.”

So Many

It always amazes me how God can do so many different things out of one situation. The number of lives He can touch with just one thing. So many people’s lives can be changed. While reading in Exodus this morning I was drawn to how many times Pharaoh refused to heed the warnings and do what God was asking him to do.

God’s Plan

But that was God’s plan all along, wasn’t it? He said He was going to harden Pharaoh’s heart. God sent plague after plague to get the attention of the Egyptians, so they would know who He was.

The Israelites were stuck in slavery while God was trying to get the attention of the Egyptians.

Is God trying to get your attention today? Could He be using your circumstances to get someone else’s attention?

I Don’t Understand

It doesn’t seem fair when we are the ones suffering for someone else. I’m sure the Israelites were wondering why God hadn’t delivered them from the oppression they were in as they watched the plagues. I’m sure they didn’t understand what was going on and there were probably some that were fed up, exhausted and seemingly at the end of their rope.

We don’t have to understand everything God does, but we should trust that He will work it all out for our good. Trust that He has never left you or let you down up until this point, so have faith that He won’t start now.

Read Exodus Chapters 7 – 11

**Lord thank You for the reminder that I may not always understand why You do what You do, but I can trust that it will be for my good in the end. I ask for the strength and the grace to get through where I am now. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
