Is He Shaking You?
Hebrews 12:27
27 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Rotten Fruit
I’m sure we’ve all heard the expression rotten fruit will fall by itself. Most of the time when we say that we’re referring to someone else. We never think about it in our own lives.
When I read this scripture today, I didn’t really catch it at first. I went to my commentary, and it said that when we’re being shaken the Lord is doing away with the distractions in our life. That’s when the expression rotten fruit will fall by itself came to my mind.
Rose Colored Glasses
We all have things in our lives that we need to get rid of. I don’t care how long you’ve been saved, or how many different things you do for the Lord. We all have things that we need to be shaken out of us. Looking at ourselves through rose colored glasses is something we do a lot. That’s why it takes a shaking to work out what no longer needs to be in there.
So, what is in your life today that the Lord’s having to shake out? Are you being shaken and haven’t yet realized that it’s to work those things out? Have you been pointing the finger at everyone around you in a situation, and not doing as much self-reflection as you should?
Help Me Lord
I’m considering that in my own life. I don’t feel as though I’m being shaken at the moment. However, I know every single day that I wake up there’s something new that I could be working on to produce more fruit, to grow spiritually. It’s just something we could all really take time and think about.

**Lord, I love you this morning. I pray and ask that you help me to recognize any areas where I need to work some things out, before shaking has to take place. Lord if there’s anything in me that’s not of you, I bind it in the name of Jesus and I lose Your spirit over my life, over my home, over my family in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. **
