Pay Attention
Matthew 7:7-8
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Pray
I prayed a prayer yesterday and when God answered it, I didn’t recognize it as an answer to that prayer and found myself almost mad at someone. I started telling someone about the situation and mid-way through I realized that God answered my prayer just not in the way I thought He would.
How often do we pray and ask God to do something for us or someone else only to be so distracted by our own feelings and what we see that we don’t recognize God is answering our prayers?
Look To Jesus
If we fix our eyes on Jesus, His ways, and the things He has for us to do we won’t have time to worry with our feelings about things that don’t even matter that much in the grand scheme of things. Our feelings change with our circumstances, but God never changes and neither do His ways.
God’s ways are not our ways but much higher, much greater. Trust Him even when the answer to your prayer doesn’t look the way you thought it would.

**Lord, thank You today for always knowing what is best for me and my family. Help me to look past my own feelings and wants to recognize when You are working, and to trust You. Lord, I know Your ways are better than mine and I want what You want in my life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
