Life Happens
James 1:2-4
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Definitely Not Fun
No one enjoys trying circumstances. We don’t like it when our world is turned upside down by a doctor’s report, a financial crisis or anything that throws waves into the calm seas of our lives.
Unfortunately, we cannot stop things from happening. As long as we are here on this earth there will always be things to come up that we would rather not even have to face. However, there is good news even in the midst of these trials.
Good News
First, you are never alone. There is nothing that has been laid before you that God has not already seen. If He has allowed it to come to your front door it’s because He has already given you all you need to push through it. Grace, patience, wisdom. All of those things have been given to you to overcome whatever you are facing. Now that doesn’t mean it won’t prove to be a little difficult, but most things are.
Second, there is always something for us to learn in every trial we face. Different people learn different things. God has called you to do good works for Him. Sometimes in order to prepare us for those things we have to face trials so we can learn lessons that will be beneficial in whatever He has called us to do.
Hard times are not fun. They can be heartbreaking, devastating and completely flip your life upside down. We can trust that God sees the bigger picture and is ready and waiting for us to seek Him to make it through.

**Lord thank You for never leaving me, for looking at the bigger picture of my life and knowing what I need. I love you Lord and I trust that You know what’s best for me. Help me to remember that You are all I need and that I don’t have to understand what is happening I just have to trust You Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
