The Narrow Path
Matthew 19:26
26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
What Do You Think?
What is the first thing you think of when you hear or read this verse? Do you think of being good at your job or your hobbies? Do you think of making money are trying to buy big, nice things? While this scripture does say ALL things are possible with God the context is very important.
If you read the few scriptures before Jesus talks about how it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into Heaven. Saying that is what brought on the scripture above. While it might seem impossible it can happen.
Let Go
How? Well, with God. What does that mean? It means that anyone, not just a rich man, but anyone who seeks God and His ways and does His will can surely enter into Heaven.
The comparison of a camel going through the eye of a needle shows that the road to Heaven is not easy you will have to make sacrifices. You will have to choose to follow God and His was when your mind and body are screaming for you to do other things. You will have to swallow your pride, relinquish control and allow God to work things out in His way and His time.
Wide Is the Gate
God’s word says wide is the gate and broad is the path that leads to destruction, and small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life. Few find it. Why? Because there is sacrifice and self-discipline on the narrow road.
Which one will you choose today? Will you choose to live the life God meant for you to by not watching all the world does and being like them? Or will you choose the path that leads to destruction? The choice is yours?

**Lord, help me to always keep my eyes on You. To not be distracted by what everyone else is doing. Give me the strength to resist the temptation to follow in what the rest of the world is doing and to follow after you Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
