Fight!
1 Corinthians 10:13
13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Temptation
When we hear the word temptation our first thoughts come to things like adultery, drinking, drugs, the very obvious things. But what about the temptation to have an angry outburst, the temptation to be selfish, the temptation to gossip, even the temptation to complain. There are many more things we are tempted to do but you get the idea.
Often times we will do something and say stuff like “oh I couldn’t help myself” or “God understands” but the truth is that every single one of us has been given self-control and while it may be hard to push the plate back or not to go on that shopping trip, it is our responsibility to say no. It may seem almost impossible but that is where God comes in.
Yes, He Will
I’ve always heard the expression “God won’t give you more than you can handle”. That is not Biblically accurate. Things will absolutely come your way that seem almost too much for you. In those moments God isn’t setting you up for failure. He is putting you in position to turn to Him and seek His help.
He will provide a way out when things get hard and His word says that His grace is sufficient for you. Meaning if He doesn’t pull you right out of whatever it is, keep your focus on Him and what His word directs you to do and you will make it through, if you don’t give up.
What are you struggling with today? Does it seem like you keep coming back to the same test, the same situation over and over and there is no change? Maybe the change needs to start with you. Seek God for direction .

**Lord, thank You for giving me everything I need to make it through every situation I am presented with. Help me to listen more intently to Your direction during these times Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
