11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Do You Have Faith?

If we say we have faith our actions should line up accordingly. What does that mean? 

Well, if you say you are trusting God to show up in your finances, your actions will continue paying in tithes and offerings and giving in whatever manner the Lord has led you to do. That doesn’t mean you continue to go on unnecessary shopping trips or spend $8 a day on coffee. Because we have to be good stewards of what He has given us (Luke 16:10-12). 

Words Have Power

We cannot say we have faith and are trusting God one minute and walk around telling everyone how broke we are the next minute. Faith says, “we are struggling right now but we are trusting God to turn it around”. 

Having faith is not ignoring or denying the reality of your current circumstance but is a hope and a deep trust that God will provide whatever the situation warrants. 

Do I Deserve It ?

There have been times in my life where I struggled with my faith. It wasn’t that I didn’t think God was capable of doing what I needed. I knew He could (and can) do absolutely anything. The part I had a hard time with was believing He would do it for me. I knew He could and would for everyone else, but I had somehow convinced myself that maybe I didn’t deserve what I needed, and He was going to show me why I couldn’t have it. Have you felt that way? 

If so let me leave you with some encouraging scripture:

               Romans 2:11 King James Version

11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

That means that God does not play favorites. It took me years to really let that sink into my spirit. Every once and a while I still have to remind myself that if God will show up for others and help them, He will do it for me! 

He Doesn’t Play Favorites

He will do it for you too! Here on earth, we may have special little groups that get more attention than others, but God does not work that way. He loves everyone equally and He will show up for every single one of us! All we have to do is ask! 

Let your words and actions be filled with faith! He’s an on-time God! 

**Lord thank You for never leaving me!  No matter what I have done, You have always shown up right on time and there are no words that could ever express my gratitude for all You have done and continue to do for me! You are a good God! In Jesus name I pray, Amen. **
